Left brown/dirt-colored stain

We have owned our dishwasher for about 11 years; WHITE inside and clean as a pin, that is until my wife used Cascade with Clorox. It left the inside of the dishwasher with a brown/dirt-colored stain that cannot be removed. We have used Soft Scrub etc. which only removed a small amount of the stain. A POOR; POOR; POOR product! I do NOT recommend this product!!!

Terrible product

I have used Cascade for many years and have always loved how well it cleans the dishes. However, my husband picked up this bottle last weekend and it is terrible. It leaves a nasty film on the dishes even when using a rinse aid. I have rewashed the dishes by hand and the film still remains. Terrible product.

No, I do not recommend this product.

We strive to ensure our Gel Dishwasher Detergent always leaves your dishes sparkling clean, Dez, so we’re very disappointed to hear this hasn’t been your experience recently. It can be helpful to know that hard water cant fight against the detergent to allow minerals and food particles to settle back on dishes, which causes that film. The good news is that we have some tips to help the detergent win the battle against the unsightly film: ensure dishwasher water is at least 120F/49C, make sure sprayer arms aren't blocked from any movement, and, try our ActionPacs™ as they have ingredients to fight the film. To remove the film, be sure to remove all metal items and wash by hand, then then put two cups of white vinegar in a bowl and place it on the bottom rack of your dishwasher. Run your dishwasher through a cycle without adding any detergent. For severe build-up, try doing several vinegar washes. Please don’t hesitate to give us a call at (800) 765-5516 if you’re still having trouble after trying these tips!
