Unbeatable drying power vs. detergent alone.
Cascade Dishwasher Cleaner helps remove limescale buildup, grease, and odors from your dishwasher.
I tried this product because I’m trying to go green, the dishes came out dirty greasy. I had to wash them by hand and run the dishwasher again. Not worth the money if I have to use 2 tabs and all that extra time to get my dishes clean. I will throw these out and try another brand
No, I do not recommend this product.
We'd hope to put the extra sparkle back in your dishes after the first wash, so we're sorry to hear about your recent Cascade clean. We do want to share that dishwasher detergents are formulated to provide the best cleaning possible, however, we do know that hard water and other factors may sometimes have an effect on our cleaning performance. Dishes coming out of the wash cycle still dirty could mean the water isn't hot enough - at least 120F/49C (run kitchen sink hot water before starting dishwasher); water pressure is too low (run solo, no shower, washing machine, etc); dishwasher sprayer arms are blocked; cycle isn't long enough; water softener not working properly; or leaked rinse aid. For the strongest fight against tough stains, we recommend using our Cascade Platinum ActionPacs™, which provide 10X the cleaning power. If you'd like to say goodbye to pesky dirt and grease once and for all, please give us a call at (800) 765-5516.
I used it for washing and sanitizing canning jars before canning applesauce. I opened up the dishwasher to check on the process of the wash cycle and found the whole basin covered with thick suds. I’ve never seen a dishwasher detergent do that before. The smell is obnoxious and overpowered the smell of applesauce. Not impressed .
We always hope for a clean that leaves nothing behind, so we're sorry to hear about your recent dishwashing experience. Since rinse-aid can cause excessive foaming, be sure to check your dispenser to see if any liquid may have leaked out. Also, if you have the option to adjust your rinse-aid dispenser, we suggest doing so according to your dishwasher's manual. Other causes of excessive sudsing include the dishwasher not filling completely, the door gasket not sealing the door properly, and the dishwasher not being level. For the best results, make sure the water in your dishwasher is at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit (49 degrees Celsius) so suds can be dissolved completely. To make the water as hot as possible, run hot water at the kitchen sink before you start the dishwasher. If possible, run the dishwasher when no other appliance is using water (shower, washing machine, and so on). These tips should do just the trick for you, but we can always be reached at (800) 765-5516 for any future questions, comments, or concerns.
I tried this product on an impulse. It was on sale at our local Big Lots store so I tried it. I had been using Finish and also the Jet Dry additive, but I still had foggy glasses. I was pleasantly surprised when the glasses came out crystal clear. It's a plus that it's also environmentally friendly. I will definitely buy it again!
Yes, I recommend this product !
Karen, it's better late than never, so we're happy to welcome you to the crystal-clear side! After all, our clean goes even further than just in your dishwasher.
